Black Forest Academy is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International, the Council of International Schools, and the Commission on Secondary Schools of the Middle States Association. The curriculum is designed to be challenging and rigorous in accordance with the standard of excellence at Black Forest Academy.

In addition to the core academic subjects such as Bible, Math, English, History, Science and Foreign Languages, students are offered elective courses which include Geography, Apologetics, Environmental Science, Journalism, Creative Writing, Graphic Design, Computer Programming, Industrial Arts, Statistics, and Economics.

Black Forest Academy maintains a library of college catalogs and assists students with college planning. Furthermore, BFA is a site for PSAT, SAT I and II, Advanced Placement exams, and makes arrangements for students to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
